Robson Aragao
Robson Aragao

Robson Aragao was not one to begin riding bulls when he was young child, Robson did not get on his first bull until he was 20 years old, actually. Despite his grandfather and uncle being bull riders, he began his career as a bronc rider and then moved over to bulls. He credits learning about bull riding from Fabricio Alves. Robson cites his initial meeting with Alves at a local bull riding as his inspiration. He had no money to pay for a hotel so he slept outside the arena, he woke up the next morning and saw that another rider had camped next to him and when they began to talk, Robson realized it was his idol, Alves. The two became friends and Alves invited him to stay with his family and train. He says his proudest moment in bull riding actually came this season when he qualified for the BFTS in Seattle. He was proud that at one point in time it looked like it was going to come down to him and 2013 World Champion J.B. Mauney for the event win and despite not coming out on top, Robson still feels great about what he accomplished. Robson and his wife Vanessa have one daughter, Rafaeli.

Neil Holmes
Neil Holmes

This Ramen Noodle-loving bull rider got on his first bull at the age of 18 when he was a senior in high school. Neil does admit, though, that he didn’t start taking it seriously until 2008 when he was in college after he realized he could support his four children doing it, it became his passion, his hobby and his job. He credits Craig Jackson to helping him along the way as someone he looked up to that lived near him and still gives him a hand today. He recalls his worst injury took place in 2010 when he was knocked out but still remained hung up on the bull. He ended up being drug around, then stepped on and having his pelvis broken. Despite doctor’s orders, this cowboy was competing after only six weeks. Neil’s proudest moment in the PBR took place at his first Built Ford Tough Series event in Laughlin, Nevada. Not only was it his first time on the BFTS, he was also able to cover one of the bulls he faced. Neil plans to use 2015 as motivation for upcoming seasons – he believes he has paid his dues and now deserves to be competing on the BFTS each year.
